How to Spec an Acoustic Soffit
The ASC Acoustic Soffit is a powerful acoustic device, yet it’s very easy to specify and install. The modular design allows for many variations in both the home theater and the budget. Ideally, an Acoustic Soffit is installed around the full perimeter of a home theater.

In some instances, this may not be possible. Room decor may limit the installation of a full perimeter Acoustic Soffit. That’s where the modular design of the Soffit permits flexibility when planning an install. For instance, a Soffit across the front or rear only would give a considerable acoustic improvement.

Need to include wall wash down lighting? It’s easy and fast, since the Soffit comes with pre-installed code compliant halogen spots, when requested. Need to run wiring for Surround? Not a problem. The Soffit form a continuously hollow space which can easily accommodate a wire run tray.

Estimating the cost is simple too, with ASC’s lineal cost per foot system. Just measure how many feet of Soffit you plan to install and multiply it by $104 per foot. For example, a 12’ x 20’ home theater with a full perimeter Soffit would cost MSRP $6656. Add $50 for each halogen light required.
